SMS Terms of Service

These terms govern the Abyss Consulting text messaging program (the "Program"), operated by Abyss Consulting, LLC on behalf of the small businesses we serve. By opting in, you agree to these terms.

Program description

When you opt in, Abyss Consulting sends recurring text messages on behalf of the business where you signed up. These include marketing offers, event and special announcements, and operational updates. The Program name shown in messages identifies the business or "Abyss Consulting."

How to opt in

You join by checking the clearly labeled "Text me offers and updates" box on a business's guest Wi-Fi captive-portal page or on a campaign landing page reached by scanning an in-store QR code, and providing your mobile number. The box is unchecked by default. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase or of Wi-Fi access.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies depending on the business and the offers available. You may receive several messages per month.

Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply. These charges come from your mobile carrier and are your responsibility. Check your mobile plan for details. Abyss Consulting does not charge you for receiving messages.

To stop receiving messages, reply STOP to any message at any time. To get help, reply HELP or contact us at [email protected] or 650-769-4604.

How to opt out (STOP)

You can cancel the Program at any time by texting STOP to the number that messaged you. After you send STOP, we will send a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed and will send no further messages unless you opt in again. You may also reply UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT.

Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to your carrier's network availability.

Privacy

Your information is handled per our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your information, and mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are never shared with third parties for their own marketing.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued participation after a change constitutes acceptance.
